Our partner for the West Coast located South Los Angeles, is also a Quality Assurance and Supply Chain consultancy firm. He manages Supplier Audit and Supplier Development programs for customers in many industries including Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Automotive, Aerospace, and Electronics manufacturing. He is completing our network of Quality Professionals in more than 50 countries as an extension of our own Supplier Quality teams.

JOB OPENING:          QA Manager in Calgary (Alberta) as of 2011-12-01

1.         This is a contract opportunity to last approximately 2-3 months or full-time at the supplier’s facility (oil & gas);

2          Compensation is hourly and depending on your experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.         7 – 10 years in quality management as part of a manufacturing operation;

2.         Experience developing and deploying an effective ISO 9001 Quality Management System;

3.         Experience as a trainer - Quality Tools, ISO 9001, Internal Auditing, Root cause and corrective actions.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.         Development and deployment of standardized global quality management system documentation to include procedures, work instructions and forms needed to comply with customer, ISO and regulatory standards;

2.         Management of the document control process;

3.         Performance of internal audits to include system, process, product and regulatory audits;

4.         Develop and deploy standardized performance metrics and drive continuous improvements;

5.         Provide QMS, documentation, root cause and corrective action training;

6.         Manage Nonconformance (NCR) and Corrective Action Process utilizing SAP;

7.         Serve as Management Representative for ISO 9001 Quality Management System;

8.         Conduct ISO Management Reviews in accordance with ISO 9001 and local QMS requirements;

9.         Provide ISO and Quality Tools training as needed;

10        Maintain training database and training records.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.         Preferred but not required- B.S. Degree (Engineering, Management, Metallurgy).

2.         Experience developing and deploying an effective ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

3.         ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or ISO 9001 lead auditor certified.

4.         ASQ Certified Manger of Quality/Organizational Excellence.            

5.         Strong background in data collection and analysis
